In Linux Lite, applications are named for their function, not their “real” names. A newbie wouldn’t know that Evince is a pdf viewer or that Thunar is the file manager. Linux Lite is for novices who don’t know even what they don’t know. This one little thing is very thoughtful, all by itself. Linux Lite includes a magnificent set of tools to make maintaining and tweaking the OS effortless and non-stressful, with point-and-click simplicity and explanations for us non-tech types. If unsure, there are explanations and the support of this awesome forum, in which the Lead Developer actively participates. That is rare! You can even clean up systemd logs in a couple of mouse clicks! Lite Tweaks is probably the best point-and-click "cleaning and maintenance" application for any Linux distro.

My first Linux distro was PopOS and It was a refreshing experience. It was really easy to install, use, and game on. I distro hopped a few times to see what other linux flavors are like. These are the ones that I remember trying Zorin OS and Linux Mint. These ones looked mostly like windows and it was easy to use. ZorinOS[0] is fantastic! I switched from Ubuntu too and it was surprising how polished ZorinOS was. Everything was super stable and in the last 2 years, it didn't break by itself, which I can't say the same for Ubuntu sadly. Linux Mint too is cool but the outdated UI is the only deal breaker for me. [0] - https://zorin.com/os. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago

Have used Linux for about 6 years. Tried to set up Linux lite on wife's older Acer Win7 machine- no dual. Installed easy, log in easy, update soft oh uh, password wrong. Carefully retyped correctly- still refused. Tried demo on my machine, same problem.
Ubuntu 19.10, Zorin, MX all work but Lite still gave password issues after new install.
I recommend - Zorin OS.
