Check out Zephyr OS and Platform IO. Zephyr is part of the Linux foundation and has similarities to Linux with how it performs hardware abstraction (device tree). Platform IO integrates with other frameworks including mbed and Arduino. Source: 7 months ago
NimBLE comes from the Apache Mynewt real time operating system project. Mynewt is similar to other efforts like Zephyr. It continues to be maintained in 2023 and issues posed to the Github repository go answered. Source: 7 months ago
I'm looking at https://zephyrproject.org/ as an alternative to esp-idf for a new project, as it enables compatibility with other boards, plus a simulator for debugging. Source: over 1 year ago
That whole caboodle is available in an SoC now. Likewise, Zephyr is replacing Linux, thank God. Source: about 2 years ago
Time to upgrade to something more minimal - https://zephyrproject.org/. Source: about 2 years ago
Hi Rust experts, we are willing to integrate rustix on NuttX RTOS, the initial effort was done by rustix author: https://github.com/bytecodealliance/rustix/tree/nuttx but it hit the wall since we don't know the right way to integrate cargo with the old-school NuttX's Makefiles. Any help or suggestion is welcome. More about NuttX here: https://nuttx.apache.org and here: https://nuttx.apache.org/docs/latest/. Source: about 1 year ago
Open Source Autopilot for Drone Developers PX4 is an advanced and open source autopilot flight stack for drones. PX4 can flight completely autonomously for pre-programmed missions, or, obviously, it can help a pilot who remote-controls the drone. It runs on NuttX RTOS. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
You should definitely have a look at NuttX. Source: over 1 year ago
Maybe Nuttx can be an alternative. Have a look: https://nuttx.apache.org/. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you are going to use STM32, try Nuttx. Nuttx is an RTOS so you don't have to write all the drivers, interrupts, etc. Yourself but you do need to write your own applications and tinker with the protocols, pinmaps, etc. And have a decent understanding of how everything works. A good starting point is to watch Nuttx channel on YouTube. Source: over 2 years ago
