  • Ask HN: It Was Better with Www
We all act like writing www. Is lame and for dads/grandparents, but the truth is: 1. You never know when you need to write https:// 2. It looks a lot uglier 3. Literally means "hypertext transfer protocol (secure)" (I had to look it up, and I am a hacker news user.) 4. Just happened to me: in a youtube description you cant just put ycombinator.com, you have to write https://ycombinator.com. This is not a problem... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago

I found the link originally at ycombinator.com and they have some discussion around it. Source: 10 months ago
  • Did Twitter die, Elon?
I said this on ycombinator.com, if Elon spent more time on his business rather than arguing online about covid (which is what he was doing at the time of the outage btw), I feel like less twitter outages would happen and perhaps the Twitter Status would be properly updated. Of course, he would rather spend his time conversing online like a 14 year old on MW2 instead of actually doing his job. Source: 12 months ago
  • Making Something Waspy: A Review Of Wasp
I wish I could remember what took me to YCombinator's website on the 10th of October, 2022. That was when I first heard about Wasp and another language called DarkLang. After I learned about Wasp, I was intrigued and curious to know how it works, which led me to join the discord server the next day. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
  • "what did you hack" question and answer not visible in application review
Hmmm. I did not receive any communication from ycombinator.com ever. Is there another domain it comes from? Should I be concerned? My application is showing as "Submitted.". Source: over 1 year ago

  • How many entrepreneurial CA activities are too much?
    - Got into https://fi.co/ accelerator program but failed in the local market so the entire team along with the seed investor decided to not go forward with it anymore. Source: over 1 year ago
  • First time Meeting with Possible Angel Investors
The main take aways I have gained from this experience is. They want things clear, and to the point. Any waffling or lack of knowledge into things like insurance/legal/finance then they get cold feet. In today's climate, pre-seed ideas have less chance then ever with a glooming recession. This means Investors just don't want to take the risk this year and will invest in seed rounds or higher. Global statistics... Source: over 1 year ago
  • I have an startup idea , where to start ?
If your idea is for B2B, I recommend you apply for the founder institute accelerator program They accept application at the idea stage. I have been in their mentor network for over two years(Growth specialist). The program is 4 month and intensive but absolutely valuable. They will teach you everything around building a startup from scratch. You can apply here: https://fi.co/ good luck! Feel free to DM if you have... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Does anyone knows any mentoring programs for entrepreneurs and their startups?
Take a look at fi.co - good programs, although there's a cost and you do need to give up a small percentage interest in your startup. But you get intros to many mentors, a cohort of other founders, and a proven curriculum. Source: over 2 years ago
