I recently made a recording of my song Postcards from Hell using Synthesizer V. It’s certainly not perfect, but I feel pretty good about it for a first time out. Synthesizer V is conceptually similar to Vocaloid, but it appears to me to be significantly better for realism. That’s just from listening to examples, though; I never used Vocaloid. Synth V is much better. Here is a song I did in Studio One with Synth V. This was using the Pro version which allowed Synth V to act as a plugin within Studio One. There is a basic version of the software that is free to use for non-commercial work; however, the free versions are lite versions that are not quite as nice and the basic version is a standalone program only. I do, though the song I linked was sung by a vocal synthesizer (Synthesizer V). I do have other songs, but the last singing I recorded was nine and a half years ago.
