  • Quickemu: Quickly run optimised Windows, macOS and Linux virtual machines
Shout out to https://virt-manager.org/ - works much better for me, supports running qemu on remote systems via ssh. I used to use this all the time for managing bunches of disparate vm hosts and local vms. - Source: Hacker News / 29 days ago
  • Oracle data base
If not, I would just run a CentOS Stream 8 virtual machine using either GNOME Boxes or virt-manager, and set up networking and ssh so you can access the database from the host. Source: 3 months ago

  • Cockpit: Web-based graphical interface for servers
I'd say it is half-baked webmin. You can only use it with NetworkManager, and if you have an even remotely complex network setup for VMs, NetworkManager usually must be turned off, which makes Cockpit practically unusable. virt-manager [1] is way more powerful for those who like managing VMs with GUI. • is it still worth it running oVirt?
The docs on ovirt.org are confusing as hell. Search for something, anything, and you will probably find proposals for new functionality from like 15 yrs ago, experimental things, documentation for old old versions, etc. There is no proper classification and/or tagging. People write stuff, and it stays up forever, no matter the relevance. It seems it's not being managed at all. Source: 11 months ago
