OsmAnd works for me. I am looking to get off Google, so I try to retire anything that is not on F-Droid. When I am on a flight and the flight does not provide the flight information, I am using the OsmAnd, https://osmand.net/, to monitor the flight altitude, speed and direction. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Regarding usage of OpenStreetMap over Google Maps - assuming we're talking mobile usage - you might give OSMAnd[0] a try. OpenStreetMap tends to be good for hiking trails. I like https://osmand.net but there may be other apps that are good too. Source: 8 months ago

To repro: - https://wego.here.com, - click on left hand side menu, - use login item from the top of the menu. Source: 10 months ago

The POI database is sparsely populated for my area of the country and it rarely identifies the correct destination unless I enter the specific street address. Worse,... Source: about 1 year ago
I'm using European-based maps. Not ideal but better. Here we go (wego.here.com) is really great. viamichelin.fr is also quite good (but not as good). Source: about 1 year ago
