There are no good hard surface modelling apps on iPad yet. We do have Nomad Sculpt which is rapidly becoming better and better, but it's mainly a streamlined zBrush clone for sculpting and some model painting. You technically can hard surface model on it, but don't expect anything like Maya/Blender out of it. Source: about 1 year ago

Ok I'm not Raph but, FWIW, my 3d sculpting app is written using SwiftUI (https://sculptura.app), which is not a view around a database (in fact it was previously UIKit... SwiftUI is so much better). I recently implemented a piano-roll editor in SwiftUI: https://github.com/AudioKit/AudioKitUI/tree/main/Sources/AudioKitUI/Controls/PianoRoll.
