I didn't know why you said that so I looked at the tilix github site and I see a disclaimer. However, if you look at the commit rate you can see that it is still quite actively maintained and I see no issues when I use it. Source: almost 2 years ago

The terminal you see in the screenshot is tilix with Dracula theme for tilix. The installation process is slightly easier than for gnome terminal. However, I have also installed the gnome terminal theme you linked. I did not encounter any issues while following the instructions. Did you receive any errors during the installation?
