Vistaprint has better design tools, a wider variety of products available, and a passable customer support team when it comes to non-designer clientele.
CustomInk does apparel, mostly.
The quality of the clothing and fabric products here is what I'd like to touch on. I'd be more confident getting a shirt from CustomInk than Vistaprint because their fabric is softer, they use less sizing in the product (fabric stiffness and smell), and it takes less washes to get something you actually want to wear.
Vistaprint is great at what it does, and I would recommend them for anything other than clothes; but for apparel I would choose a company that's focused on that niche.
