I’ve had an easy time getting around in Sydney by public transport using Citymapper. Source: 8 months ago
We do! Citymapper often will tell you what door to get on for the best exit, depending on whether there's data available for that journey. Source: 8 months ago
Citymapper does this really well. It also tells you where to sit on the train to be nearest the most convenient exit at your stop. Source: 10 months ago
But by way of encouragement maybe, the area near my office—off Irving Blvd and Medical District Dr—is not pedestrian friendly by any stretch. Google Maps will give you worthless, even dangerous bike routes. Citymapper is a bit better, but really what I found paid off was spending some time studying maps, aerial and street-level imagery, then a weekend morning doing some testing and exploration. Depending on the city you might be able to use citymapper. But like the others here I suspect that the main problem is that the city you're in just plain sucks, and at that point, cabs might be the best option for us without a George Jetson style folding car in our pocket. Source: 11 months ago
You could also try using the Moovit app (https://moovitapp.com/). Source: 8 months ago
Google maps is not the greatest for directions between OC and LA; they've partnered with Flix Bus/Greyhound and will direct you to ride one of those buses instead of the public transit system. Bing Maps or an app like Transit or Moovit ate more honest about your options. Source: 9 months ago
You can access their website too, you don't need the app https://moovitapp.com/. Source: 9 months ago
There's an app/website called moovit which is the better version of google maps that's spesifically designed for public transport. You can set your destination to the airport and set a spesific arrival time, it'll tell you exactly when to leave, what public transport to use and where to get off the train. Here's the link to the website where you can find a download link as well for Android and IOS. Source: 9 months ago
I have good luck using https://moovitapp.com for transit. Source: 10 months ago
