Definitive Edition has some quality of life features the original doesn't have (for example, checkpoints and GPS), and the bugs in the Definitive Edition aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be. When I played through it I didn't encounter anything major. As for performance issues, all I can say is that I played through the game on an Xbox One S the December after it released and it was fine. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to pc gaming. I know that for the latest games I'm likely looking at around £1k budget, and this is not something I have right now.
