  • help 😭 i just waited 3 and a half hours for the sims to download and i boot up the game to see whatever is happening here..? what does this mean and why is it doing this? does this mean my computer is unable to run the game?
Try this site: https://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ it will want to download a tool to detect your computer specs and then after analyzing, will tell you if you can run the game or what are the parts holding you back. If you just got the laptop, it also could just be your graphics card needing a driver update since many of them don't have updated drivers out of the box. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Games lag until I hit the Windows key, then when I click back into the game, it starts lagging again.
Whenever I'm playing a game, in this case, I was playing Ghostrunner, the game is for some reason at really low FPS, I'd say around 1-5 FPS until I hit the Windows key, then it's back to 144 FPS, and as soon as I click back into the game it goes back to lagging. systemrequirementslab.com/cyri says that I can run the game at the highest settings, (I have a 1660 super, i5 10400F, 16GB RAM). This issue has been... Source: over 2 years ago

  • should i play definitive or original version?
Definitive Edition has some quality of life features the original doesn't have (for example, checkpoints and GPS), and the bugs in the Definitive Edition aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be. When I played through it I didn't encounter anything major. As for performance issues, all I can say is that I played through the game on an Xbox One S the December after it released and it was fine. If you're... Source: 3 months ago
  • Can my pc run this game?

  • PC gaming virgin on a budget (UK)
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to pc gaming. I know that for the latest games I'm likely looking at around £1k budget, and this is not something I have right now. I've been looking at second hand laptops or desktops, and using https://pcgamebenchmark.com to see what games they might run (no idea how accurate this is), and it looks like I could easily play most total war games on a second hand laptop or desktop...
