Of course I'm not a software developer but as far as the fairemail application is concerned, it's technically at least 'partially' cloud based because I remember when I first setup my valid email accounts it asks for permissions from the email vendors such as gmail....   Go to https://bluemail.me/ then click the arrow next to "Download Snap" and choose your option. I am using POP and downloaded the RPM versions and clicking on it in my downloads folder started the installation process. Source: over 1 year ago

• Gmail App Alternative focused on privacy?

  On Android the usual recommendations are FairEmail or K-9 Mail. Both are fully open source and privacy focused, it basically comes down to your personal preference. For them to work with your Google Account you will probably have to create an app password. Source: almost 3 years ago
