Codeium, an innovative AI-driven coding assistant, is changing the game for PHP developers. Integrated seamlessly into your development environment, it provides real-time, context-aware code suggestions. This tool accelerates coding tasks, maintains best practices, and ensures efficient and error-free code. By continuously learning from various code repositories, it keeps your PHP coding modern and compliant with... - Source: dev.to / about 22 hours ago
When using the AI assistant, your code is sent to Codeium servers for code completion. LiveCodes has a very strict philosophy which mandates that your code never leaves your device unless you choose to. - Source: dev.to / 13 days ago
New Editor Extensions: Codeium, a free alternative to GitHub Copilot for individual users. Enhance your coding experience without breaking the bank. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
I have cancelled my CoPilot (had been using it since early alpha releases), and have instead switched to Codeium which is far more careful to avoid training on GPL. Not only that, it seems faster, works in more environments, and is free! Source: 3 months ago
Looks cool! Always like to see these local alternatives. I'm a Sublime Text user (it is still amazing!) so there aren't many options for LLM assistants. The only one I found that works for me on Sublime is https://codeium.com/ and it is also free for the basic usage. They have a great list of supported editors: - Android Studio. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
There's sruff like https://codeium.com/ In fact, there's a lot of coding pair program products. Some open source fueled, some OpenAI fueled, some are doing their own weird thing years before Copilot was released. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
The AI code assistant provides code completion based on the current context and comments. This is powered by Codeium, the free ultrafast Copilot alternative. This can significantly boost the learning experience. See how to enable it. - Source: dev.to / 6 months ago
Https://codeium.com/ I find it very helpful, does code completion too and has a chat interface. You can select code and ask for refactorings, comments and whatever. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Codeium rolled recently out their context feature, so that might be worth checking out. I haven't tried it yet (there was no support for context and chat for JetBrains IDEs), but even the autocomplete can be useful. It is not writing large sloths of complex code for me, but I find it highly useful for repeating code with patterns, e.g. Unit tests or updates after refactoring. From a few examples (lines) it can... Source: 8 months ago
Have you tried Codeium? It’s free and does the job pretty good. I use it all the times for tasks like generating Avro schemas from TypeScript types or converting a JSON object example into zod validator. AND it has chat feature that doesn’t require any waitlist BS and insider-nightly-experimental VSCode build. Source: 8 months ago
Codeium [0] seems like a worthy competitor to Copilot already. [0] https://codeium.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Codeium [https://codeium.com/] (the modern coding superpower) [Installation, with online web playground]. Source: 8 months ago
A great suggestion is to use https://codeium.com/. It is free and, compared to Github_Copilot, the answers are much faster. The cool thing is that it is more accurate in its answers, at least when I'm using Python (which is my main language). It's like a chat, similar to chatgpt. So, I usually use codeium's chat, it's great! Source: 9 months ago
Most recently it was Codeium. Its like github copilot but free. Source: 9 months ago
I'm using Codeium and I'm quite happy with it. Source: 9 months ago
Because Copilot is very simple, you can use other models like codeium or even self-host. They are about equally good for smart code autocompletion. None of them even try to compete with GPT4. Source: 10 months ago
Recently, I tested codeium. I had a lot of fun with it and there is a chat feature built in (for vs code extension). Source: 10 months ago
Try https://codeium.com and let us know. Source: 10 months ago
Also, there are alternatives that are free, like codeium https://codeium.com/. Source: 10 months ago
For instance, I've had excellent results using Phind (in-browser) and Codeium (in-IDE). Source: 10 months ago
Fairly far I've built some small projects like getting stock data from the internet or a very basic website before gpt but nothing crazy. With chat gpt (or if you don't mind me shilling a bit I've gotten a lot more success with phind and codeium, of which both are free) I've built a few android apps, and I'm in the middle of building a complex chrome extension I'm hoping to monetize...
